Join Woody Wheeler, Birding and Natural History Guide, for two bird walks in May. These  two-hour bird walks coincide with peak Neotropical bird migration to this area so the park should be alive with bird song and activity! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These walks will be on May 3 and  May 31 from 8-10 am. We will meet at the traffic circle at 17th<\/sup> NE and NE Naomi Place. RSVP on the link below.  A donation of $10 is requested per person.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dress for the weather, bring binoculars and good walking shoes for a 1.5 mile walk along the rim, down and back up the ravine.  (Please leave your dogs at home).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 85 species of birds have been tallied at Ravenna Park in the past decade.  Species of special interest are those that require mature forest habitat, such as:  Barred Owl, Cooper\u2019s Hawk, Pacific Wren, Pileated Woodpecker, and Western Tanagers.  We will search for these birds along with other resident birds and spring migrants including Black-headed Grosbeak and Wilson\u2019s Warbler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
